How to Print an Image in an Outlook Email

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Microsoft Outlook 2000 and 2002 sometimes fail to print the image in an Outlook e-mail. The print request does go through, however, the image will be presented by an "X" symbol rather than printing out the actual image. Microsoft Support has recognized this problem in Outlook programs and says it can be resolved by updating software.

Instructions

Open the Outlook program and click on the "Help" menu.

Click "About Microsoft Outlook" and look for the section that describes your Outlook version.

Go to Microsoft (see Resources) and get the latest update for your Outlook program, whether it is 2000 or 2002. Make sure you update the version that is specified on your particular Outlook program.

Go to Internet Explorer home page (see Resources) and click "Upgrade Now" to get the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Click "Download" and "Save File."

Double-click the program from your "Downloads" list and click "Continue." The latest version of Internet Explorer might take a few minutes to install on your computer.

Open the Microsoft Outlook program and open the e-mail with the picture attachment.

Click "File" and "Print" to print the image.
